Extended Server Maintenance Tonight
From around 6PM GMT tonight the server will experience extended downtime for a number of hours whilst I re-image the server from Debian, to CentOS. I’m doing this for a number of reasons, but it’s mainly to increase security and stability and make up for some of Debians shortcomings! Sorry about the inconvenience

I’ve finally gotten hold of a linode, and updated the system,
I’m in the process of building the server now, and will eventually have to move the site. It’s coming soon, for a faster more powerful server and better site.

Fault Finding

Turns out the stats system is not correctly counting visits, but is correctly counting page views. Wassup was detecting browsers scanning for RSS links which were indicating another hit which was not correct, similarly statpress was counting the correct number of pageviews, but not the [...]

Welcome to the new site, God I’m nervous… Will you all like it? Will you hate it? Will you use the features I’ve been working hard to put in place… I don’t know, but there’s a real heart wrenching story for me, in the fact that I loved the old site, because it was me, It was my design, It was MY site. All of it. And being sat here writing this post a few days before the site goes live… Well I have to say I’m looking at my old site, wishing it could stay, but it just isn’t realistic.
