The importance of a name

I’m confused. You see I told you all before I would start to shape the site more to professional content, and whilst I’d keep the blog, I may be looking for a new name.
The biggest problem is that mcrowle-grovesphotography.com is just WAY too long to ask professional clients to contact me on. It’s also [...]

Server Move

I’ve finally gotten hold of a linode, and updated the system,
I’m in the process of building the server now, and will eventually have to move the site. It’s coming soon, for a faster more powerful server and better site.
Stay tuned

Ooh Progress….

Been a while hasn’t it, but there has been progress in my life. You know a few months ago I said about wanting to quit? Well yeah, I did it, at last… with help I might add.
The biggest problem with the “pills” that help you quit smoking? Craving. Oh my lord the craving is [...]

Money

Just a quick note for all my visitors about the recent additions to the site. Those of you who visit regularly will know that I have always been very much against adverts. However with the more… “Commercial” nature of having CardiffTweetups.co.uk (yes it is now a .co.uk domain) adverts are becoming necessary.
As a result, on [...]

The way we learn

It’s often a much avoided subject, that of learning at least in blog posts. But there is a follow up to this that will be posted shortly, entitled the way we talk which, will link in and fill out the gaps in this one. So if this doesn’t make sense, just bare with me [...]

Brief update

I’m really sorry that I havnt been moving quicker with this, but my last post was not entirley truthfull. The website still had one major bug within the comments that made them completley unreadable. I am pleased to say that this has now been fixed, although I don’t think I will ever recover from it.
I [...]

I wanted to update everyone on the progress of the new site layout. I will also say, I am really glad I made the decision to develop this, as everytime I look at the current site, It just, [...]

The Face Of The Future

Hello again everyone. This is a somewhat minor update yet one I am more than happy to type out.
Two days ago, both myself and Sean Nicholls my PHP consultant, began work on the new site template.
Currently we don’t know how long it wil be before the site is relaunched. We had hoped that it would [...]

Regarding the look, making the feel

Ok so I’ve looked around and found four potential designs that I want to look at for this site, which I will list below, but remember, don’t take them all at face value, each will be edited and customised to my personal tastes and to fit in with the site schemea.
Lets start with template idea [...]

The order of things

The Order Of Things
I did a terrible thing. I spent over a month solidly working hard on the redesign of this website, comparing different things, and looking at things I can add in. I consulted and worked closley with Andrew Kennett and Sean Nicholls, the two consultants I had with me when redesigning the site [...]

Errrgh

Being fed up is not something I like to be. True there are times that venting frustration and even anger are well worth it, and somewhat satisfying, but right now I’m fed up. Unfortunatley I have become a casualty of the recession, being screwed over and made redundant.

True It has given me much time to reflect on things, plus begin work on certain things that I am vastly behind on (like sorting out my website) but other than that……
