Music Is My Radar…
Ever noticed how music plays a huge part in your life? How one song changes how you think of things, or brings back a memory of your life good or bad? I certainly do. For me it represents memories, moods, periods in my life I’d rather forget, and others I’m glad to remember. One song always seems to stick with one appropriate moment in my life.
Take getting my Microsoft Certification for example, For me I played a song as soon as I got out of the exam room, knowing I had passed. That song was Curve – Chinese Burn. It’s a strong song, that essentially says screw everything, I’m coming! But then there are other things. Some old songs remind me of old girlfriends, others remind me of old jobs, or moments in jobs. It doesn’t even have to be one I picked out, It could be something I heard on the radio.
Take my first job for instance. They had the radio playing which consistently played R&B. Now personally I don’t like R&B, but hearing it always brings back semi happy memories of my first job, similarly certain songs make me angry, some give more personal feelings, based on when I heard them. None of which are bad things, but it’s quite worrying when a song comes on the radio, and all you can think of is that one date…
What kind of music is part of your life?

I totally agree. Some songs really influence my mood. Powerful songs which have a strong beat really make me reflect on the times I am happy, and the times I remember the most. On the other hand, songs which have a slow, mellow beat remind me of times which are bad, or where I’ve gone through a bad patch.
Meh! I suppose I best fill in my UCAS application
